Learning through Play
Supporting Every Child's Development
Everything I do is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), the statutory framework for children from birth to five. It ensures that every child is cared for in a safe, secure and nurturing environment where they can learn, grow and thrive at their own pace.
Rather than formal lessons, I provide meaningful, play-based experiences that follow each child's interests and stage of development. Through everyday activities, adventures outdoors, stories, songs, creative play and real-life experiences, children develop the skills they need while having fun and building confidence.
The EYFS identifies seven areas of learning and development, all of which are carefully woven into our daily routines and play:
-
Communication and Language
-
Physical Development
-
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
-
Literacy
-
Mathematics
-
Understanding the World
-
Expressive Arts and Design
By getting to know each child as an individual, I can provide experiences that support their learning in a natural, enjoyable way, helping them become curious, capable and confident learners.
